It would be great to browse my file browser and see images in the videos I am looking at. For folders use the image for the first video in the folder, and put it on a folder icon.

Note: this should not be done at the expense of slowing down loading listings and browsing. The list should load and the images should apear after the list is loaded.

It is really annoying and only shows the opening credits of videos (useless for figuring out which tv show to watch).

I have folders of TV shows and it would be great if the device remembered where my cursor was in the list whenever I came back to that folder.

Also, when a show ends, the cursor should really advance to the next one in the list.

Starting ISO play is a real problem. Converted the entire library to .mkv to overcome the problem, (also saves vast amounts of space.

All ISOs will play in the thumbnail feature, but pressing play causes
i) a soft reboot
ii) a wedged black screen

66% of time ISO play start fails after use
30% of time ISO play start fails if unit is powered off, then ISO is first access.

It seems pretty basic for a media player to allow video AND photos to be looped together in autoplay. The current configuration only allows for one or the other. You are missing a huge chunk of business by limiting this option as I know about 1000 real estate agents who would use WD Live for a digital display if we could mix video and photos in a loop. It's the perfect digital signage for a small investment! I imagine there are thousands of other businesses that could benefit as well.

Dear WD i would like to ask you is there by any chance that we can update the mediaplayers to support arabic subtitle or there is no time to add this update? to know if i will buy WD media player or not

Hulu Plus seems to be missing autoplay. MyPC's and my Samsung BD (which has the same interface) player has it.

to search in youtube or any other site need internal vitural keyboard (on screen) . not need other hardware bluetooth or usb keybord .

An option to increase or decrease the buffer of the network, to improve support MKV files passing through the network (jerky, etc.)

WDTV Gen1,Gen2 fw update ?????

I have an older TV, and because of overscan, always have to set the zoom to 0.9x.

Unfortunately, the device does not remember this. It would be nice if we could set the default in a settings screen, or at least "sticky" the zoom once we set it.

my media is in different folders within one "data" folder (photos,videos,music) but there are other folders in there such as downloads, webcode (containing photos for example) etc that i don't want to include in the sync but there is only one sync source folder, so its the whole directory or i have to set the sync folder to music, then to videos, then to photos. but i can only have one set at a time, that should be an easy fix and a sensible one. Multiple sync sources please!

Make the Ethernet port Gigabit capable. Add at least one extra USB port with USB 3.0 capability. Add BBC iPlayer support.

Please repair DI.FM Radio. All my presets in Tune in are now broken since the last firmware change.
