I would like to hide MEDIA SERVERS from the video menu if ive selected to use NETWORK STORAGE and vice-versa. this hide / unhide funcitnality could be added to the system settings menu. would create a more fluid and easier-to-use GUI.

I DONT want to see all shares from my server when im in any given menu - i want to be able to associate my DVD share with the video menu so that thats the only share i see when I select VIDEO, my photos share with the photos menu etc. seriously annoying. in the current implementation on the WD TV LIVE, where is the point in having different menu items for different media types if everyting shows up anywhere.?

Support more lossless formats such as APE, WavPack etc. are critical for me and my friends who uses WD TV Live / Gen2. I believe that media players can replace devices such as CD players. The sound quality when playing FLAC on WD TV just exellent, but lacks support for other lossless formats. For some reason support for APE is only implemented in WD TV Mini model :(

WD TV can't manages the new video format 50p, but in the next future this will be the standard for high end cam.
Should be possible implement this features?

For example: using a laptop to control WdtvLive, when both are connected to the same wi fi network.

Use this laptop as a remote control.

Player doesn't recognizes Drives with sector-size 1024 formated with NTFS. When it's formated with FAT32 it works. But in this case it doesn't support files bigger than 4 GB. For Example Samsung S2 640 GB

This is so simple, why not allow it? To simple browse contents of the folder - like having pictures and short videos of vacations in one folder

please add an option to turn off the fade between menus on generation 1 model. currently only available for generation 2. should be on both models. i have a generation 1 model.

-better navigation (sort by first letter would be great for big music collections)
-better search engine (something like iTunes does: I type a word and it shows me all the bands, songs, albuns and genres names that include that word, in separated fields)
-album cover auto search (through internet)
-lyrics (displayed during playback, with auto search too, maybe)
-playlists on the fly (as already suggested)
-playlist management (create, delete, edit, etc, as already suggested)
