  but why off-line? fetch that synopis on-the-fly on user request and save on storage for future use.

  I think it will be better it it include selectable video thumbnail view where the user can select the size of the thumbnail to be 4,8, or 12 per page.

  Users could use apps like this one to catalog the film and extract data from IMDB / Filmaffinity and others:

  An IMDB / Filmaffinity scraper could be very interesting. Using a scraper users could consume off-line the .imdb meta-data files.
